Oriental Rug Gallery is a family-owned business that has been in the rug industry for generations. Our love and expertise for rugs trace all the way back to our roots to modern day Persia; specifically Tehran, Iran.
Fast forward to today, we’ve been serving the great state of Wisconsin for almost 20 years starting with our sister store, Persian Rug Gallery, in Whitefish Bay, WI. We now proudly have two stores to better serve our customers.
Business Philosophy
Our business philosophy is simple – have the best products, the best prices, and the best service. We are humbled that our customers say we are by far the best rug company in the state. We’ve built our business one customer at a time – one rug at a time. Much of our business is based on referrals, which to us, are the biggest compliments a business can receive.
Our Passion & Why
These rugs are the art of our culture. From beginning to end, the hand-woven rug is a masterful piece of art. Not many people know just how much time, energy, and hard work goes into this special process from concept to finished carpet. This process is difficult, technical, and long – but it is ancient and done with much pride. Because we know where these rugs come from, how they’re made, and sometimes the artisans and master weavers who create them – we talk about these rugs, educate our customers, sell, clean, repair, appraise and buy these rugs with a magnitude of pride and gratitude. These timeless pieces are a part of us, and we are so fortunate to make a living doing what we love.
Who We Are
We are a Third Generation family business that specializes in the art and splendor of Fine Hand-knotted Rugs in Milwaukee. We are all pictured to the right (from left to right) Amir, Hamid, Hemad (the one writing this), and Mohammad (my grandfather). For us, it just comes down to the love for what we do. Our heart and soul goes into these rugs and making sure everybody appreciates them the way they ought to be appreciated. These are true pieces of art made with love – for us we are humbled and forever grateful to bring our art to the incredible customers here in Milwaukee, and all over the world. If you’ve ever worked with us, you know we care. You know there’s an immense amount of pride in what we do, and you can see and feel the love in our stores. We encourage you to stop in and say hi – you don’t need to buy anything, you don’t need to bring any rugs in for service, literally just walk in and say hi, we’d really love that 🙂
