2′ x 3′ I-Herati Rug (ORG23-032)
The designs used in the Herati rugs are labeled as Herati as well, hence where the name originates. The motifs are based off an old Mongolian-Turkish design: a geometric base normally featuring one flower with four leaves repeating across the carpet. This pattern originated somewhere around the late 15th century from North-western Afghanistan in the city of Herat.
