Wildly Beautiful 1920’s Antique Heriz

This piece embodies the Heriz design in its intricate complexities, as well as its varied color palette. The heavy contrasts between motifs make this rug sing in an incredibly artful display of traditional weaving and expression. The iconic center medallion is accompanied by the melody of geometric and tribal elements, elongated by two palmette finials that make this rug seem to be even larger than it is.  This specific piece has a wonderful age, roughly 1920’s and has some beautiful and character-rich patina throughout.  Worn to perfection with a story in each knot.  If you want a “perfect” rug, then this is not it, we have other options for you – but if you want a soulful and remarkably rich rug with story and soul – here it is.  One element that takes this piece to the next level is it’s unbelievably unusual size; 9 x 14 is so rare yet perfect for a slightly larger dining table due to its extra 2 foot in length compared to a standard 9×12.  This exaggerated European over-sized rug is a true example of wild meets sophisticated.
